Agree. Gears of War would be the right fit. Steven Spielberg would be great for Halo, James Cameron would also be great.

I don’t want anyone to touch Halo at this point. I feel like I’m watching my child with their abusive partner every time somebody does something with halo.
I seriously hope the TV show is burned in a fire and never seen again.
Not to say, I’m entirely cynical about the future of the franchise, but I definitely say I’m far more cautious. Infinite had a really good story and its gameplay with a blast if not quite what I wanted from halo game. But maybe we should endorse new ideas. Maybe we can go back to the human covenant war.

I agree with you mostly. However, I think the combined strength of Zack, Steven, AND George Lucas could bring Halo to life along with some people who've worked on the Expanse. I'm mostly thinking of the operatic and space battles for here.
As for Gears of War, it'd take Zack and Ridley, while bringing in people who've worked on the most recent Battlefield: Los Angeles movie. The movie that took place in 2010 or so. This is to get the ground battles and visual effects perfect, while maybe bringing some Battlefield: Los Angeles people in for Halo for the Ground battles as well

for a Halo movie, I think the perfect director is some like Neil Blomkamp or gareth edwards. I wouldn't trust modern days Ridley Scott though, as good of a director he used to be.

No, just no. Keep Zack away from anything related to movies. He might can be in a corner when it comes to directing action-scenes if he promies to cut down on slow-mo scenes (so impossible), but he keep insisting on doing everything himself and every movie in his career just get worse than the one before.
And he will definetly not care about the source-material at all
