TL conductors work as the giant capacitors within themselves & respect to the ground as well..
& more the distance it goes greater the capacitance becomes.. like n ∑c
which makes Vr > Vs
Note: Ferranti is noticeable only in case of long TL (length > 200km)
Remedy: Shunt Reactors, they simply balance things out by absorbing the reactive power (rated in VAR)..⚡
