BMW diesel are sexy... we've got the E61 525d with 177 HP. and this engine is pretty good... we reached 242 km/h on the autobahn. the 2,5 litre diesel is more than enough for this car. it pulls very good, and till now the only car that was able to shake us off on the federal highway was an audi a8 w12. but 530d is fucking powerfull too... all BMW engines are very good. even the 520d.

@thelightning87 It doesn´t make any difference if you´ve got the throttle floored. It ONLY affects transmission. That is, it keeps the car in lower gears and shifts down with less throttle to insure quicker response.

@fanvetfanvet the euro 3 version (only 2003) has only 218 ps.

@R4DiUSS no my friend it's quite a bit speed,the machine has trouble to keep pushing as it did until that speed.

the tachometer of a 520d is the same as the 525d/ 530d...

Look at the temp.Its 0 degrees on the out.Maybe there is snow.Thus the DSC kickin in at the start and the slow rate of acceleration

I guess this one is a 530d which was produced earlier: With 218PS. After this version there was the 231PS CAr or a long time and now the 235PS Version after the facelift is on the line.. (And very fast)

Can anyone tell the difference between the 530d vs the 535d although i think the 535d accelerates fast but i never seen a 535d on youtube do 260kmh please would appreciate if someone tells me the difference in terms of driving feel etc thanks

I have 530d too but tuned to 310 hp! It reaches 275-280 km/h!
