It’s important to note that it’s just a percentage of how many critics gave it a positive review. In addition, most of these have higher audience percentages which is probably more reliable to look at for your situation. (Im not surprised film critics in the early 2000’s weren’t praising step brothers as high art). Personally, I’m not super into the comedy’s you used as examples, so I can’t argue the scores aren’t accurate. I even like Weird Science, but I agree there’s probably a 50/50 chance a random person I show it to is going to like it or not
