Man this is so true it hurts. I have an old blazer; has helped me avoid tickets, and even people that’d otherwise want me dead because they don’t approve of my existence have dropped everything when they see my Rosie and go on a long-winded yarn about how they bought one of these new and it was their favorite

This is so true. My Thunderbird has saved me from so many people who I know wouldn't approve of my gender. I've taken her to classic car shows before, the kind of place that is the complete domain of boomers, and other than some funny looks I've gotten nothing but compliments from people who would gladly call me slurs otherwise.
