I have some unsolicited advice as a big guy whose been through a lot of the weight loss and workout journey:
Cardio like this is very hard on the joints as a big person. So you may start developing some aches and pains, and the best way to solve them is through rehabilitative exercises that strengthen the muscles responsible for moving your joints. Check out Squat University, actually just type in whatever body part hurts with squat university and he'll have a video that details how you can diagnose and treat the problem.
Additionally cardio is best when you can do the activity for about 2 hours, not saying you have to do 2 hours, but it should be a movement you could do for 2 hours. This is to ensure you stay in aerobic heart beat ranges instead of going over and doing anerobic exercises. Rowing is also a good low impact cardio in addition to swimming, but I get they are harder to do because you need equipment or a facility.
But really the most effective thing for weightloss is getting your daily diet in check. Limit your beverages to water, and eating home cooked meals. Its ok to splurge every now and then so you dont deprive yourself of good stuff, but its something you can do on the days you don't workout.
