The fact that Eobard actually had to learn to be the good guy out of obligation is such an interesting choice for introducing his character, because it means the first version of him we meet in the show is the most (only) mature and developed version, and every subsequent version that shows up is more and more unhinged and petty.

Oh, the simpler times. Young me didn’t even realize Thawne was risking his plan to (Unintentionally) save Firestorm but it makes sense I suppose. Villains sometimes gotta be the bigger man, not the monster.
