It's the same in Germany, here most saunas have rules that you aren't allowed to wear any swim wear inside, at best just a towel if you're very shy ^^

In Finland for what i know in all public swimming halls you aren't allowed to go to the sauna with swimwear cause the chlorine evaporates to the air and can be bad for people's health

i dont understand why other countries wear towels or swimsuits in there. is it just not wanting to be around other people naked or is there some other reason for it? nudity is not something to be afraid of tbh

I Germany go go to sauna naked too. And not only with friend but with anybody how happens to be there. Mostly mixed gender saunas and naked.

I mean, most of Europe has no problem with nudity in Areas that are not "public" like a Nude Beach - Sauna or anything like this. It's mostly an American Thing were that isn't really normal - Japan has Bathhouses and so on. It's kinda normal because everyone know's how a woman/man does look like.

yes naked but men's going to men sauna and women's to women's sauna or they go to sauna different time if there is available only one sauna of course if you are married or you have boy/girlfriend or you have really good friends where is belong men and women's then you cn go with them together in sauna if you want
