We would mostly agree that evolution has been the main shaping factor of life on this planet and of brain ability. Why then not let AI settups to compete with eachother under assumption that maximum diversity is an important mixing factor.

AI doesn't do anything on its own.
corporations and CEOs use software and machines to do more of the work that previously only people did.
It isn't "ai doing stuff" that you need to worry about.
