They also forget to mention you have to slave in a warehouse for 4-5 years, and only do part time work first šŸ˜‚ thatā€™s even if your seniority list isnā€™t that long

It all makes sense why UPS tractor trailer drivers go so slow, theyā€™re making bank. šŸ˜‚

They pay very well for these types of jobs, but be carful doing it long term. Worked at an orthopedic surgery center and physical therapy center. A lot of people traded their knees, back, feet, and shoulders for that pay. But they didnā€™t notice what they were giving away until their 50s.

Been there for 25 years. Itā€™s not an easy job.
But itā€™s unfortunateā€¦ā€¦ we no longer work for customers. We work for the shareholders.

Dude spent 7 years at the warehouse working 4 hours a day for something that isnā€™t guaranteed to happen. UPS is the biggest scam of them all.

Happy to say I gave ups 5 years of my life and I ran away as fast as I could. Iā€™m now an owner operator and so glad I got out that hell hole!

Heā€™s right about the pay when u start- itā€™s about what Amazon pays but u get decent raises every year. Benefits are also great and top pay here in the DC area averages around $49 and some change. And at least in my hub since we service a big city we have centers servicing different zip codes throughout the city

These guys deserve every penny, its hard work. I couldn't do a 12 hour shift tho, rather work less for more life.

Respect the hustle! I gave 15 years at the same marketing agency before starting my own company and now completely self sufficient. You can make it, just gotta put in the hard work, stay committed, and learn along the way! God bless.

My brother was loading the UPS trucks from a conveyor belt. Non-stop hard labor. Most people quit.

The best part is, when u get to know some of these lonely housewives after being on a certain route for so long.

Honestly if youā€™re gonna sit in a warehouse for 4-7 years waiting for a driver spot why not go join a union like laborers, electricians, carpenters etc. Work and get your classes done and get paid pretty good too. After 4 years start making 45-50 dollars per hour not to mention PW jobs. And if you become a journeyman you can take it anywhere you want instead of being stuck to one company like ups. Personally I hate repetitive work and imagine doing routes 60 hours a week for the rest of your young life no thanks

I was a UPS driver assistant during the Christmas season of 2022. Worked my ass off. Tough job. 330 plus stops a day. Young guy job.

It's in California. Of course the pay is going to be good but the cost of living is ridiculous.

I tried to get a job at UPS last month, they said there was a problem with my application, then they gave me a phone number to call, but no one ever answers. Ive waited on hold like 45 minutes, multiple times, and there's no way to talk to anyone. It's ridiculous. They clearly don't like their employees or prospect hires.

The hack is to get on as a seasonal driver and then a lot of times you stay as a driver after the holidays if you arenā€™t terrible
