This is the type of stuff that I just shake my head at when taking on a new project. Fixing someone else’s half 🫏 DIY project. Just save up for another month or take an extra weekend to do it right.. I know it’s hard not to get impatient and excited, but it’s worth the wait. You get what you pay for

It's you house, so you do you, but I love natural stone and would have worked with it to enhance it instead. Would have brought in more wood and metal, likely cast iron from what I see of the stone texture. Try to bring a nature-y vibe to the area 🍃
