As a retired RN in the U.S. it all has to do with staffing/ratio. Yes, those other things matter, but if we are short staffed and our ratios of patients to nurses are high, then the rest does not matter. I have had chronic health problems from my decades in nursing. Chronic back, hip or knee pain is no fun. Our stress would decrease if we didn't go home thinking about everything we didn't have time for or possibly missed because we didn't even have a chance to catch a breath. Heck I was lucky if I had time to eat or pee in a 12 hour shift.

Hello from the Niagara Region, we are to advocate for our own health and you say we are in charge? But with Doug Ford trying to privatize everything, well I ask are we in charge? I am 65 and worry every time I need to go to emergency, wait times are longer and longer and I feel so bad for the staff, but it’s scary, great video and thank you❤️🇨🇦

Here is yet another report in the US with the same exact issue. You can literally search online and come up with 100x more of these types of cases in the US than in Canada, which our media forget to tell our people here:

Hi from York Region. I'm a cancer patient that was rushed to hospital via ambulance were I waited in the ER for 2 days admitted but no bed. I had a front row to see just how short-staffed the hospital was. I was in heart failure and yet I felt guilty even asking a nurse to help me to the washroom or for a glass of water. Our hospitals need to be properly funded by our government.
