Passengers can opt for travel insurance while booking train tickets through the NGeT website application on www.irctc.co.in or the IRCTC mobile app. They need to select the checkbox for travel insurance coverage
The premium for IRCTC travel insurance is a nominal amount of Rs.0.35 (inclusive of taxes) per passenger. The premium is automatically calculated and added to the total ticket fare.
