Top Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov has today said (December 1, 2022) that the US and NATO are directly involved in the war in Ukraine.
At a press conference, Lavrov said that two entities were “directly involved [by] not only by supplying weapons, but also by training military personnel,” referring to the training of Ukrainian forces in their territory as well as outside of it. Lavrov also said that Western support included the supply of foreign legion troops and military intelligence.
In August of this year, a spokesperson for Moscow’s defense ministry made a similar claim, accusing the US of direct involvement in the war.
Comments such as these raise the potential for Russian attacks on Western military deliveries, as well as further weaponization of fossil fuels.

Russia broke the agreement. Russia, Ukraine and the US agreed that if Ukraine remained nuclear free Russia wouldn't touch Ukraine. If Russia invade then the US would only send supplies not troops to help Ukraine. The US is holding up their end of the deal.
