I'll tell you why the Wehrmacht didn't take Moscow. Winter began exceptionally early this year, in October. And that, so to speak, overnight the temperatures fell into the 10-20 minus degrees. What a landscape that consisted of up to half a meter of mud everywhere in the streets and paths just froze everything. It is well known that this winter was the worst in over 100 years. During this time, more German soldiers froze to death in one day, as in the battles on the eastern front from enemy action. Fact! And Moscow would have fallen into the hands of the Germans even under these circumstances, only one thing could stop the Wehrmacht. And that was thanks to one man, the German Dr Richard Sorge! Never heard before? I believe. Dr Richard Sorge was a German journalist working in Japan at the time. He was a Russian spy and a committed communist. He told the Russians that the Japanese army would not attack Russia from the east while the Wehrmacht was just outside Moscow. and that enabled Stalin to move all the Siberian divisions, specialized for winter combat, which were stationed on the borders of Japan and China to the west, i.e. Moscow, as quickly as possible. And with these Siberian divisions he managed to stop the Wehrmacht. And only like that, not otherwise. The real reasons for the history of the Germans before Moscow and their stop short before. And that was just the beginning for the German defeat in Russia, because Stalin had a spy from the beginning of the war with Germany. He was to be found in the closest circle of Hitler and the OKW. Later it was said that the orders of the OKW were faster on Stalin's desk than with the commanders of the Eastern Front. And this throughout the war. The Russian knew about every move of the Wehrmacht on the Eastern Front. You think unbelievable? No, the truth about the story. And that is a fact that is no longer mentioned in the books of today. The victor writes history... Mfg Magnus
