As an Indian the only thing that bothered me was him referring to APJ Kalam as just 'another Muslim President'.
He was much more than that.

Singapore has a similar thing, but there it is even legally mandated that each ethnic group is able to have a president every few years. I believe if the previous 5 presidents haven’t been from one of the official ethnic groups then the next election is reserved to people from only that ethnic group.
