I like giving naming npcs regular ass names because in dnd world they are super exotic. Irony

That last one was my dm in this one campaign when I asked if I could use create/destroy water to dump 10 gallons of water on a sleeping preists head. He was important to the story so he simply wouldn't allow me. He talked me down to 3 gallons.

The name thing is actually solved in a book series called "He Who Fights With Monsters" a whole slew of 'forgettable' npc's are from the same family and their naming convention is based off the nick name "Bert." Who is he? Oh that's Albert, and his brother? Oh he is Gilbert. Oh there dad? He is Herbert son of Gaulbert.
