When you stand naturally, do your toes point inward or outward? This simple observation can reveal a lot about your foot alignment and overall mobility. Misalignment in the feet can lead to discomfort, imbalance, and even injury over time. One easy way to begin correcting this is by going barefoot. Spending just a few minutes each day without shoes can help reawaken the muscles in your feet, strengthen them, and start restoring their natural mobility and strength.

For everyone thatā€™s wondering about shoes, last year I switched to ā€œbarefootā€ shoes. Theyā€™re perfect casual day to day shoes and wider from the front to keep your toes open

People say "grounding" is just some hippy BS. But I rememeber when after years of never walking barefoot, I took my shoes off and my socks off and went for a long walk on the grass.... I felt something like bolts of energy or electricity shooting through my legs. It felt uncomfortable and borderline painful. But it felt like it was doing something good

I hope your type of people can go all throughout America and teach these things to everyone. They don't know what they're missing

Meet your body where it's at. I've been using zero shoes for years while not addressing my gait issues. Big mistake. I am now working with a PT , using a supportive cross trainer shoe. My hope is to one day be able to get back to my barefoot shoes.

Grounding (walking barefoot on the earth) is also beneficial for your light body (your essenceā€¦prana, chi, etc)!

Just copped vivobarefoot, been rocking 2+ weeks. Feet started changing on day one. Muscles have been growing in strength. Muscles around ankles are already thicker. Clicking sound my foot used to make (had sprained ankle never did anything about years ago) is much harder to do, doesnā€™t crack as much. Had to go back to regular shoes all weekend for a wedding (dress shoes), foot started cracking again in that weak spot. So back to the vivos today. Your heals will feel annihilated everyday until you get used to it. Iā€™m still getting used to it. But it doesnā€™t bother you as much. You can feel everything getting stronger.
SCREW NIKE, HOKA, and BROOKS BROS - theyā€™re doing us all a disservice. Making use weaklings in the feet !

Love the idea, will only try this in my garden. I live in England where every other house has a dog, people let their dogs poop on the grass and pick it up by scooping into a bag, if I walk or run in grass I will have poop on my foot no doubt.

It would be great if you offered some advice for older folks. I have arthritis in my feet and going barefoot is painful now. What can we do as we age to strengthen our feet?

What is this test exactly? Like just standing there and see which way your toes point? Iā€™m a bit confused

Iā€™ve been wearing Tevaā€™s hurricane XLT2 for a few years now even in the winter (with wool socks) that are a couple sizes too big and allows my feet to spread out. I love them! I typically wear a 7 1/2 and but wear a size 9 in these sandals.
