Hololive Production is a virtual YouTuber agency owned by Japanese tech entertainment company Cover Corporation. In addition to acting as a multi-channel network, Hololive Production also handles merchandising especially in music production and concert organization.
Holostars (ホロスターズ), is a male-only Virtual YouTuber agency established by Cover Corp. Auditions for the first batch began on May 27, 2019, and the group initially debuted with 3 members. On December 2, 2019, Holostars merged with the main Hololive branch and INoNaKa Music, their music label, to form Hololive Production.
Holostars English Tempus (テンパス[1], stylized as HOLOSTARS English -TEMPUS-), also known as Adventurer's Guild TEMPUS (冒険者ギルド「TEMPUS」), is the first wave of VTubers under Holostars English.

To me, it feels like they had a lot of people audition who ticked the boxes of what they were looking for, but didn't want to risk debuting them all at the same time. So they debuted 4 at the beginning to test the waters and see if there was a demand, and when the Tempus boys took off, they could debut more. Or maybe I'm just schizo, idk. I'm really looking forward to seeing what these new members bring to the table.

I'm just really glad that Holostars finally debuting EN vtubers tbh. Calli and the Holo ID girls especially, must've been very overjoyed about it, they've been the most vocal supporters for Holostars development since like forever

This kind of happened before, but back in 2019 before Hololive started to have a lot of international viewers, Holostars Gen 1 (JP) had debuts spread out in batches as well with Miyabi, Izuru and Kira debuting in the same month in June then having Aruran and Suzaku debut 3 months later in September and finally Rikka halfway through October.
Can definitely see them doing away with gens despite the confusing choice from Coverof trying to market Uproar as a new group the division into generations and the senpai-kouhai dynamics is very much long gone from Holostars JP so they might be testing the waters to see if they should just not bother with "Generations" in the first place.

The annoying part about yt shorts is that you can't scroll through them (without converting to a normal video, which is not possible through the app), so if I missed a piece of information at the very end, a full re-watch is required.

It’s an interesting move to say the least.
I’ve always believed that HoloPro’s strategy with the English branches is “quality over quantity”, hence the two HoloEN gens + Project: Hope.
With HolostarsEN, we’re seeing the same thing in that they’re solidifying the Tempus group by adding more members to it, rather than having the new male talents ‘compete’ with the current talents for attention as a separate group.
Time will tell if this pays off (and if YAGOO’s dream can ever be restored).
