It's worth noting that Snapchat somehow survived the apocalypse and may not be great for sharing stories and discoveribility but it is still widely used as a messaging app surprisingly.

As someone coming from a marketing background, I think a lot of these comments are missing the mark. Yes, people use Snap for messaging... But overall growth plummeted after they failed to compete (aka innovate or work on discoverability) with IG stories, shorts etc. This means smaller user base + less opportunities to increase revenue. Overall, they died out compared to IG where people message, share memes and just a full on personal/professional portfolio. They were killing it for a minute tho.
