Oh my goodness, that is horrible. What I want to know is why someone would be at the store with their child that is so sick! If people kept their kids at home while they are sick, all children would do SO much better.β€β€β€β€β€

this is one of those things that makes me a germophobe... i am so careful to always watch my hands as often as possible. i know it can be airborne too. i hate this viral infection. i have never caught and i hope i never will. this is a huge deterrent foe me.

I always ALWAYS use the wipes by the shopping carts to disinfect everything.

My whole family just got over hand foot and mouth. It is so interesting how each person reacted differently. 11 y.o Daughter mostly only had the itchy bumps on feet, hands, and a few by her nose, 3 year old son horrible headache and throwing up not many bumps, both parents no bumps but itchy and felt run down for weeks ! Please wash your hands !

I loved my shopping cart cover. Made it through two boys. Best $30 on Amazon. Even has an infant pillow.
We also keep a ton of what my first son called "bacterial wipes" in our to-go bag...theyre 6 and 11 now,.so we dont call it diaper bag any longer. The wet wipes, i accidentally ordered in singles
Besides the extra garbage from the wrappers, we love them because they have lots of antibacterial juices that dont dry up. We use them every time we leave a store.
My first son caught a really bad cold at 3, after he dug into treats before i could grab his a/b wipe and never forgot to wipe his hands first again ,π

I wouldnβt say I am a germaphobe but when I am out I carry a small spray bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol . Itβs perfect for sanitizing surfaces with no risk to kids once it dries.

They sell portable lysol in the travel stuff at Walmart. I try to keep one in my purse I highly revvomend for public restrooms and carts

My daughter got this 10 years ago and all of her fingernails fell off!
They quickly regrew- but still pretty intense

I got HFM when I was an elementary school janitor. The blisters under my fingernails made it feel like they were going to pop off. In some people's cases they do!
