I read Bat Eater, Silent Companions, You were not supposed to Die Tonight, Mexican Gothic this Summer and liked all of them. I'm currently reading Lucy Undying and I hope to read Carmilla or Diavola next. If you like vampire books there is a large Dracula version with such haunting descriptions it's so worth the read..it's called Dracula of Transylvania by Ricardo Delgado... stunning read for me and the fear and haunting descriptions stayed through out the novel.

I really wish they would make Dark Matter an audiobook. I would love to hear it. I canโ€™t seem to ever sit to read a book. I listen to audiobooks all day though while Iโ€™m working.

I absolutely love Diavola! I am currently reading both "The Silent Companions " and "Dark Matter" right now. My bank account is very upset with me since finding your channel, lol.

I remember reading Dark Matter and being completely paranoid when I heard a noise in the middle of the night. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Great book recommendations, Sinead.

I have all of these on my TBR! I always recommend Silvia Moreno-Garcia for atmospheric vibey slow-burn horror. I love her writing, it's magical. I think my favorite of hers is actually Silver Nitrate but I just finished The Bewitching and really enjoyed it.

The Judge's House by Bram Stoker, The Willows by Algernon Blackwood, and A Human Stain by Kelly Robson are all short horror stories I LOVE and recommend heavily. They're all free online too!

Dracul by Dacre Stoker, it was the thought of it being a true experience that gave Bram Stoker the idea for Dracula and that he wrote more parts that were left out of the book etc that really made it extra, extra creepy for me! Itโ€™s one of the only things Iโ€™ve read that actually made me a bit scared ๐Ÿ˜‚

The Twisted Ones by T. Kingfisher is one of my recent favorites. Iโ€™ve just read Diavola, based on your recommendations, and it was GREAT! Silent Companions and Bat Eater are in TBR-ASAP list ๐Ÿ˜Š Cackle was a lot of fun so Iโ€™m really excited about Such Sharp Teeth as well. I read Dark Matter many years ago, but I still remember certain parts quite well; absolutely terrifiying

Dark Matter was BRILLIANT! Unfortunately, I couldn't get into Silent Companions. Maybe I should try it again? The other sound interesting.
