okay seriously, to clear things up, shes saying that this is how she USED TO BE in 2020, but now shes been sober, she wasnt glorifying this stuff, she was talking about how she was being negatively affected by the whole thing, and this isnt her saying this from her current perspective, shes sayimg this from her 2020 perspective. please dont be ignorant and base your whole opinion of her from a youtube short, plus this song is comedically exaggerative, please check out her mixtape that this song comes from: "Alligator Bites Never Heal". She showcases her absolute talent for singing, rapping, and storytelling/wordplay/bars. She is one of the most talented rappers out right now and i cant wait to see her continue to grow as an artist ❤

Some of these comments are dumb asf. Clearly she’s talking about enjoying these things, but in the end her self worth is still low. So she’s acknowledging that it feels good momentarily, but isn’t good for her in the long run. It wasn’t difficult to grasp either, yall are just idiots and love to bash black women when in reality she’s admitting something most people never could.

People’s comprehension and attention span is so low. Seeing comparisons to Diddy and her being called demonic shows y’all didn’t listen/read the lyrics for more than two seconds, she is NOT mindlessly glorifying this state and definitely not encouraging it but reflecting on how it negatively affects her. 🙄

DENIAL IS A RIVER is one of my favorites of the album, you get sucked into the narrative and then the breathing exercise hits and you just kinda, have to stop and reflect on what you're doing
