Those are junk. They spill constantly and if you have arthritis it extremely difficult if not impossible to use. Here's a couple of steps to help with this can.
Step one. Throw that gas can in bin.
Step two, hit up a surplus store and buy an older gas can that's from atleast 20 years ago.

I buy normal spouts and vent caps from the Internet, install them to the can and throw away all that b.s the government says has to be on a new gas can. Problem solved.

On the other hand I knocked over a gas can the other day without realizing it and I killed a bunch of gas. I understand what it’s designed for.

I hate those. Everyone get you a surecan. Love it. I retired this hidiouse nozzle for a surecan.

Junk design… Just unscrew the nozzle and get yourself a funnel. It’s a shame and embarrassment I gotta look this up on YouTube.
