I worked at McDonald's in South Africa for about 20 years. During that time I have witnessed many colleagues getting cancer. I went for an annual routine health check in the year 2000, and was told by the doctor that my liver looks like that of an alcoholic. I grew up in a Christian home and doesn't drink at all. A few years later, I took 2 years off to be a stay at home mom, and after being away from McDonald's and not eating the food, my liver regenerated and doctors couldn't find anything wrong with it. Today, I stay far, FAR away from all fast food restaurants. ALL of them, and at age 55, I am in perfect health. I now avoid all processed food and eat the way the Lord has intended for us to eat. Our bodies does not belong to us. It is the temple of God, and it is our duty to take care of our temple.

What we must be mindful of is that so many people are not blessed to make home made meals. I thank God everyday I am able to, but there was a time in my life where I ate whatever I could get bc I was so hungry. People would bring TV dinners, hot pockets, McDonald's.......and I was thanking God at that time just to be fed. As a believer,we are expected to have faith and hope that ,through the Son of God, everything will be taken care of for a greater good. We must read the word, and practice allowing Jesus to fill us up. However, it is not a practice to reminisce on evil and evil practices. I remind all of you just as I have to constantly remind myself. Don't focus on this, focus on Jesus. Don't feel horrible if you have to eat a burger from fast food. The minute we believe we are above that, God has the ability to humble us, so be mindful.
