We all agree that a house will never be spotless if we have a toddler at home 🙋‍♀️

BUT there are definitely little things we can do to make it a little less messy while encouraging good habits

Here is an idea:
✅ If your child is done playing with a toy, help them pick up before moving to the next one.
✅ This doesn’t mean they can only play with one toy (although I usually prefer it), they can play with multiple toys, but pick up before changing activity.
✅ What if they refuse: I never force Abby to clean or pick up toys, I always ask if she want to help me. But I set boundaries: “we can play with the other toy as soon as we pick this one” (with her help or not)
✅ What if they cry?
You can give them options: “do you want to keep playing with that toy or do you want to help me pick up so we can bring a new toy?”
“as soon as”: “I know it’s so hard to wait, but we’ll play with the new toy as soon as we pick this one first!”
