Turn the other cheek was a passage that specifically spoke about quarrels within the church. It started that if the body of believers had a dispute and that dispute didn't go against the truth of salvation, then they should turn the other cheek. As long as it didn't lead people away from salvation. But it was directed towards the believers in God and did not pertain to allowing heathens to do whatever they wanted.

Verse 135 of Surah Al Nisa (The Women) has been posted at a wall facing the facultyโs main entrance of Harvard Law School, dedicated to the best phrases articulating justice:
"O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well- acquainted with all that ye do."

This verse is simply about trusting in life's laws (God's laws). It's a law it itself. Life is a boomerang. What you give out always comes back, so don't worry about avenging those who hurt you for they will get their reward. That's why scripture says also says "vengeance is mine", and "resist not evil", because what you fight grows. Truth is the same, no matter the religion. Truth is divine. Religion is man made.

Those are not exactly the same thing Grayson. The one you quoted first preaches to not resist evil and actually enables it to continue by turning for the oppressor the other side. The second reaffirms that "equal" retaliation is allowed but choosing not to is an atonement for them thus allowing justice โ๏ธ at the same advocating for restraint and thus peace, by promising a reward, which is more just.
