Mean Chix is a halal chicken restaurant that opened in 2019. The halal restaurant serves up marinated hand breaded Nashville Style Hot Chicken and Tenders along with southern faves like Mac โn Cheese and Coleslaw. Ownership is currently planning to open a second location in SoCal.
During my visit, I decided to go with Combo 1, heat level OMG, a side of Mac โn Cheese, and a Bottled Soda. The Combo comes with 2 Sliders and Crinkle Cut Fries. I loved the crispiness of the breaded chicken pieces as well as the very cheesy Mac โn Cheese. The total cost for everything was about $25. (Disclosure: Mean Chix fully comped my meal. This was not discussed nor arranged prior to my visit nor was it a requirement.)
Finally, Mean Chix ownership provided a verbal statement they only use halal meat on their menu. Thereโs also Halal signage and certification on display. Finally, the halal restaurant does not sell alcohol.
