Unfortunately bluegill are exactly the opposite where I'm at. Look good on the outside and peppered with them in the meat.

Thanks Caleb, indeed these are larval flatworms, flukes. These parasites have a life cycle that alternates between birds, mussels, and fish. But, there are definitely parasites (tapeworms) in freshwater fish that infect mammals. Cooking is a great idea. My mantra, never ever eat freshwater sushi. Thanks for the video!

Talked to a wildlife biologist. He said those parasites diminishes the flavor of the fish.
The taste is why i fish for different species.
And cold/deep water fish dont get them because of the cold.
Never started seeing them till the late 90s in Michigan.... Still, I'll pass.
