I NEVER accept stacked orders unless they each pay at least $2 per mile. Once I stopped allowing myself to be screwed by DD, I no longer had anger issues anymore.

Most of the Drive thrus near where I live have signs that they do NOT want Food Drivers using the drive thru at All. They want you to come in and get orders.

Wendys always an auto decline for me. I even declined one yesterday for $7.50 1.5 miles. They are always rude and slow, as well as forgetting drinks all the time

Yes, I have heard of it. To us drivers, no it does not make sense. But to the restaurant worker it does. ( The rule is ) If you don't get both your order name in by the time you pass the speaker then you have to go around. Because they haven't prepared the food yet. You are causing a backup in the food order line. In our area, the only time we go thru drive thru is after 10pm. Tacos ๐ŸŒฎ Bell/ Wendy. Don't accept stack order if you already pass the speaker

It has to do with time at windows. Since they will not make that 2nd order right away they don't want the driver holding up for everyone else

They've done the same to me. Inside locked, drive thru only. I stopped accepting that particular location because the drive thru line is always 10 cars deep.

If the orders are close I will take what's ready and come back. I've done it. And by the time I came back the drive-thru was empty.

I never use the drive-through unless the store is closed on the inside and they have a note telling me to go through drive-through most restaurants donโ€™t want us going through drive-through. They want us to go inside so that would pretty much solve that issue just go inside.

I already had to call Wendy's corporate to complain about them locking the doors at all hours of the day when they don't feel like working too hard.

Dunno about this, but...
I was at a BK and the manager ran out and told the staff to get all the waiting cars into parking spaces... I asked. Apparently, there are sensors that measure the amount of time a car is at the window. If the car doesn't move, the counter doesn't reset. If the wait time exceeds some magic number, the system alerts the regional office, and they call the store manager to see what's happening... So the trick is to get the cars to move quickly off the sensors. (low wait times) So maybe that explains this behavior? Dunno.

I get paid by time so when this happens to me I don't mind too much. But it is frustrating. It also kills me when the restaurant refuses to handover the food until I confirm. Then they tell me I have to make the drink and was late delivering.

I was told by Wendys employees they can only do orders as received in order. Each order finished is cleared from the screen then employees can see next order. This is why Wendys want drivers to come inside to receive orders.

I think I would have respectfully asked the manager or staff if I could pull forward and get out of their drive-thru timer only if they would bring the door dash order to the door which would take them less than 4 seconds and it would be a win-win situation because a would help me and b they wouldn't have another car in their drive through timer
