The word "slave" was first used as a description for 10s of millions of Slavic people captured in attacks/raids & either brought back to Mid East/East, Europe & Africa (big money for Slavic peoples in Africa & i mean BIG MONEY) as property or sold to other countries as property. So the Slavic peoples that were made property were referred to as "Slaves".
