Not only did recruit jacksss get arrested, but he’s literally never..going..to..leave…boot camp…and if he does, he’s leaving with a 100% VA disability rating 💀

My dad when he was in boot camp in 1952, the DIs made it known to any recruits who wanted the smoke with them to make it known and they would be accommodated. The result ? There were so many recruits in sick bay with broken jaws and broken noses, the Congress investigated. The recruits would all say the same story. They tripped and fell in the shower. They tripped and hit their face on their footlocker

Had a trainee knock a short DS’ campaign hat off in Army BCT because he was using the bill to repeatedly tap it on the trainees chin as he yelled and poked him in the chest. The DS stepped back and asked him if he wanted to get down. Trainee said yes and the DS put him down 5 times. Dude kept getting up so the DS knocked him out on the sixth time. Dude came to after 20 seconds and the DS asked if he wanted to go again. Dude said no and ended up toeing the line and graduated top 25%! No MPs involved, just some old school corrective training.

I watched a trainee knock put a D/S in boot camp back in 82, thought he would be arrested, but Army put him on the boxing team. He was from Des Moines Iowa, black kid named Antwon Caldwell.

The yelling by instructors is part of it all. In battle, things get loud and mentally challenging/mind fk. If you can't handle someone yelling in your face in training, then I wouldn't want you in the same foxhole as me.

We had that happen back in 81'! He didn't get far enough to do all that, but I think he's outta' ICU by now.

First day as a company, the DI said the first thing we do is decide who runs this company. If you can kick my ass, you can run this company. One guy, Sanchez, got up and walked down the bleacher steps and onto the grinder. He jumped at the DI, and the next 30 seconds changed his life. An ambulance came to get Sanchez and he wasn't moving. We never heard anything else about him.

I saw a guy who was truly sec 8. He had no business being in the military and in 90 I watched him punch a Chief and literally every single sailor in sight pounced him in a flash.
He not only spent a month in the infirmary his ass got 5 years. FIVE TRUE YEARS man. For one punch,but,in that NAVY they were real clear about insubordination and stressed the fact that they only recently had outlawed keelhauling.
