I think Team Skull were genuinely well written. The fact that most used unevolved PokĂŠmon at hogh levels felt dumb until i reached Po Town. Then learning they were kids that gave up the Island challenge really hit home. Playing it in my mid teens really hit home, as the possibility of failing exams and not getting a stable job was looming large.
