I’m Nigerian and for those commenting that they’re Nigerian as well… she literally never said this was a Nigerian dish. She used the words fusion and twist.

This kind of content is so much nicer than the expensive clothing hauls. We're here now, girlfriend. I no longer care about brand labels and glorified consumerism. I care about unique meals, and garden spaces, and how people find their peace. Yay, more of this.❤

Cooking a tomato based dish in that pretty cream colored dress is BRAVE

I’m from Louisiana and a lot of our dishes have a tomato sauce base or okra in it or both and that’s most definitely due to African influence.

Where I’m from (Middle East) we have okra with meat and tomato soup… so wonderful how these dishes translate all around the world! We do eat it with rice and I too love it spicy 🌶️

Gosh it’s been years since I’ve seen any of your videos, and hearing your voice brought back so many memories of teenage me in my room watching all your hauls and videos 🥺

I don't know where the confidence, in cooking okra sauce like this, comes from 😭😭😭. I better be quiet

I think what you did was beautiful blending the old traditions with the new traditions using what you have to but still honoring your heritage sounds like Soul Food ❤

This is such a smart/ perfect way to cook for hubby and kids who may not be down with the okra cooked the traditional way. I didnt grow to like okra until I was a teenager. Im constantly adjusting and doing Jamaican fusion recipes for my kids...

I’m from Guyana South America, we usually fry our okra with salted fish, beef, chicken, pork, fried fish or plain with steamed white or brown rice! And I always dance once the food is good.
