I'm worried because of the trailer. Opening with clips of the trilogy and Peter Jackson's name on the screen despite him not being really involved gives me bad feeling. Recent Tolkien media has being painful for me.

I am cautiously optimistic. On the one hand, the animation looks amazing (though it is just a trailer). On the other hand, Hollywood has a track record for not doing a good job with Female protagonists lately. But maybe they’ll get this one right!

I am not familiar with the time period, but from watching the trailer I found out the king of Roham is Helm Hammerhand, which, after seeing his altercation with Freca - the king of the Dunlendings he killed with one punch - makes absolutely perfect sense.
