I wish someone had taught me when I was younger ā€œyouā€™re upset because you are HUNGRY and need to EATā€ literally feel so much better and can handle stress/conflict better with a full bellyā¤

Aw, he sounds tired. Running around parks in the heat with lots of people is exahsting and overwhelming. That kindness and understanding you gave him is what fueled him. Good job!

I get stressed just thinking of taking 7 kids of different ages on a trip. One kid has a melt down and everyone is gonna have one. You handled it the best way possible while not leaving the other kids waiting too long. So cute how he took a chip even though his pride hurt to take it wholeheartedly.

I swear, I love how your gentle voice common voice you try to explain for the children to understand. Itā€™s a beautiful thing you should have been a daycare worker. You have complete understanding and patience. God bless you for your beautiful soul.ā¤

I donā€™t think this woman is a bad mother. But, I do know for a fact, sometimes kids want what they want and are disappointed when they donā€™t get it, which results in a tantrum because they donā€™t have the emotional maturity to deal with the emotions that they are feeling. Being hangry is definitely a real thing for some kids. But so is regular old frustration because you canā€™t get what you want. The latter is a life lesson and a teaching moment.

Thatā€™s not handling a tantrum thatā€™s having conversation with an already calm toddler šŸ˜‚

Love this one! Addressing the need that is fueling the behavior instead of focusing only on the behavior! Once the need is met, the behavior is not necessary

Great job momma! His feelings do not become invalid because heā€™s a child who may need discipline. He is important and so are his feelings. ā¤

Putting food in his mouth when he is upset......
do you really want to teach the idea of eating to feel better when emotionally upset?

Kids are great at listening to their bodies and not eating when they arenā€™t hungry *until* we force them to sit and clear their plates or have a snack when they are not hungry. Kids are naturally intuitive eaters & we are ruining their ability to understand hunger cues & regulate food intake in accordance with their OWN needs, not ours.

This was greatā¤ i love seeing your videos i feel like i learn so much. My first thought though was how loud the park was, i cant imagine how overwhelming things are at these huge parks for little kids. Noise, people, heat, hungry, long waits. Your doing fantastic mommy!

You feel this way because you are hungry????

He said nooo, and then you forced him to eat any way

I don't understand, also you are not even asking him if he is hungry or not, you are just offering him food to calm him.

You are just saying "you are hungry", and you are not even asking him

I think that's not healthy for his relationship with food, so i think you could ask him if he is hungry or not

Then if he answers yes, you can offer him food, and if he answers no, you can offer him love, a hug or a different solution, but don't stop the tantrum just with food

They perfectly know when they are hungry or not.

I just tell you with love and good intentions.

You are such a good momā¤

This is all good and stuff, but isnā€™t it a bit weird for your children to have someone whip out their phone and start recording mom handling their cries for attention (which is what a tantrum essentially is). This YouTube lifestyle canā€™t be healthy for them.
