Cyclists should always stick to the bike trails for safety and to enjoy some great routes. I felt sometimes you have more priority than a normal vehicle.

New Zealand can be more expensive than other places. Plan your budget well so you don’t run out of money.

17. Plan More Travel Time Than What Your GPS Suggests
When using GPS, add extra time to your travel plans. The roads can be winding and you’ll want to stop to take in the beautiful views. Apart from that New Zealand roads are always under construction. It will be a suprise if you don't come across any while you travel.

18. Come for Nature; Not for Cities
Come to New Zealand for its stunning nature, not the cities. The natural landscapes are the real highlight.

19. Protect Yourself from the Sun and the Sandflies
Protect yourself from the sun and sandflies. The sun can be very strong, and sandflies can be annoying. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent.

20. Don’t Underestimate the Amount to Do in New Zealand
Finally, don’t underestimate how much there is to do in New Zealand. From hiking to exploring beaches, there’s something for everyone.
