Let’s Normalise… Building Queer Spaces Offline, Not Just Online.

We’re incredible at creating digital worlds. Queer Twitter threads that feel like therapy. TikToks that make us laugh until we cry. Instagram posts that remind us we’re not alone.

But how many times have you scrolled for hours, laughed, felt seen… and then closed your phone and realised: you’re still alone in your room?

That’s the paradox of queer life in 2025: we’re hyper-connected — and yet our nervous systems are starving for offline connection.

✨ The kind of connection where someone passes you food across the table.
✨ Where laughter overlaps until you can’t tell whose joy belongs to who.
✨ Where you hug goodbye and your body actually remembers what safety feels like.

I’ll never forget the first time I walked into a queer book club in person. I was terrified I wouldn’t fit. But the moment I sat down, awkward and sweaty, my body just exhaled. That’s when I realised: healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in community.

So let’s normalise:

The internet gave us visibility. But our bodies crave belonging.
