I am a Tamilian, I don’t claim Tamil is the oldest language because there is no proof of Tamil being older than Elamite or Egyptian (Coptic), but for the same reason the people from Hindi belt don’t want to learn English and promote it as a unifying language, I won’t accept any language.
Most people say that learning English will kill Hindi, then in the same context wouldn’t learning Hindi kill Tamil as they are from two different families unlike English and Hindi.
I am not against learning Hindi, but against using Hindi boards all over Tamil Nadu, using Hindi and English challans at banks and making Hindi mandatory for education.
Are the non-Hindi speaking states colonized by Hindi speaking states?

We don't want anyone to respect our language or we never want to impose the Tamil to any other region. The Tamil language protects itself. Most of the people problem is they never want to accept the truth. In god Shiva one of the member in Tamil Sangam, he only create the Tamil sangam. Why would anyone be put in a place where you think they should be, they will be where they were and will remain there as long they wish. Problem arises when people try to dominate in the guise of being a majority.
There is a sect of people amongst the tamils who consider themselves as of a different lineage and their community godman openly declare Tamil as a ' low ' ( neech basha) language.

1) If India prioratise Hindi over other regional langauses, people with hindi as mother toungh will become first class citizens and others become second class citizen. Because all the the exams will be conducted in Hindi and people with hindi as mother toungh will excel in those exams naturally.
2) This Hind vs regional language politics will soon come to an end with the help of technology. Even our PM Modi started to use AI technology to help Kasi tamil people to hear his speach in tamil by live translation.
3) Nithis Kumar of I.N.D.I.A should follow modi instead of asking TN politicians to learn Hindi. Learning language to reach people no more required. But learning a particular regional language is must for national leaders to understand that regional peoples culture. So insted of asking regional part leadrs to learn a common language, national party leaders should learn additional regional languages if they really want to understand PAN India.
4)Hindi is closer to Urdu. Native Urdu speakers understand Hindi than people who knows Sanskrit. In TN most of the Muslims speak Hindi than Hindus. So prioritising our regional language is nothing related to any religion.
5) People like this speaker are the real enemy of India and Hinduisam. Anything which got centralised more will get eradicated soon. Just look past, what happened to the centralised cultures and religions? Hinduism came this long due to its agility and diversity. If India need to exist for ever we should not monolitiz its culture.
