Don't be bullied into getting this procedure without some kind of anesthesia or sedation.

I will tell ya'll right now, my gyn tried to do this procedure in the office. It was the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I ended up having to go to the surgery center and be sedated in order to have the biopsy done.

Mine was unsuccessful yesterday as my cervix was too tight and it was too painful to get that tube through. NOT fun.

Ladies - ignore this rubbish. “A little uncomfortable”? - there are thousands of videos on here and other social media which will tell you the truth - that it can be excruciatingly painful. Many will tell you that it’s the worse pain they ever suffered. So please don’t listen to a man telling you about this - men have anaesthetic for a prostate biopsy, but women are expected to put up with this torture.

Can someone please recommend some videos on how other women have actually suffered the excruciating pain and trauma of this endometrial biopsy experience? I would like to watch those. I am 48 and in late perimenopause and have not had a period since February of this year and I am absolutely terrified that I might need this procedure and as a result I will refuse to give my consent
