That you can hit your legs on every time you walk around your room until your ankles and knees bleed. Yes, i've had a platform bed in the past.. I no longer have one.

Longer legs means they are weaker to lateral forces, if you tried to snap a wooden dowel it'll be pretty hard, but do the same with wooden chopsticks and you'll realize there's a reason why the legs are short. It'll wobble and snap. Adding the shelves onto the structure (screwing it and making it support the structure ) might help.
Tldr: don't move in this bed, it's snap at some point

I can feel my toes separating as i bump into every single corner many times throughout my day. I can picture the wonderful nights before going to bed depleted of energy cleaning up after the plant pot i definitely spilled for the second time in a day ❤😂. Still quite beautiful

My recommendation would be to build the whole thing from scratch instead of using overpriced IKEA particle board. On top of that, I actually think this is a cool idea but I do see why there’s the hate. For the future it would be best to structurally plan it out. I admire the effort and with dedication you’ll only keep getting better ❤

I would have rounded out those corners. Imagine it’s 3am, you get up to go to the bathroom, don’t want to turn on the lights and then you slam your knee into one of those corner. 😬big yike

No I had no idea that if I take that IKEA bed frame and the original legs and make them longer and attached them like that and I build a corner shelf and I attached like that and I make my bed and add some final touches I could have a beautiful bedroom but thank you for the the info
