I always look at connections before installing. Seen this before on other things so been through the pain. Leed frame is not engaged to the solenoid tabs.

Had a neighbors 2011 f-150 come to me for a antifreeze leak, cooling system is covered in quick connects, it was leaking from one of them at the overflow bottle, I replaced the hose thinking it was the o ring deformed in the connector. Turns out its the overflow bottles quick connect nipple, where the o ring seals, it wore a almost invisible to the naked eye groove in the plastic. Over 200 dollars for the plastic bottle so we decided stop leak was the best answer until he can afford to replace all the hoses and bottle along with understanding the whole system is a cheaply made throw away at 135,000 miles. Its really sad considering the 40+ grand they charged for that old truck and its even worse new today.

Yeah Ford needs to tighten up on their production associates in almost every department. I have a 10 year background in production for Honda mfg of Alabama and they didn’t use their dealerships as a repair bay if the vehicle wasn’t 100% it didn’t leave the property and as a production associate you better believe if U was slacking . They gave you an ultimatum do your job or find another job point blank period……. #People get it together

I’m not on fords side here but I’ve done plenty assembly line work. They should have tested it but sometimes mistakes happen

I hate when parts are shit right out of the box just yesterday I got a power steering pump that was whining extremely loud straight out the box, thankfully my boss paid me the extra labor time to do the job twice when things like that happen

Be sure that piece gets back to the factory. That's the type of stuff they put on display showing and reminding employees to be aware and not do it like that.

Considering this is the internal component of a complex vehicle transmission - which involves many hours of labor to remove from the car, no car maker should hire careless workers for such task. I even wonder if the worker wasn't actually texting at work. Discipline is vital on such work.

By chance, can you just replace the solenoids on the valve body. If you mind me asking?

TRANSMISSION IS HARD TO WORK WITH. I HAVE PROBLEM REMEMBERED WHERE THE CHECK BALL AT OR IT DOESN'T FIT WHEN IT COMES TO PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER.

Crazy these were suppose to be a bullet proof trans but fords execution on the design maybe cheaped out & terrible customer service in response to these speed sensor codes and lead frame shorts. And guess what their fix is? A foam strip to stop crud & metal from building up in those solenoid connectors & causing the system to short itself out. Dumbest thing ever going to these lead frames
