The Siege of Szigetvár took place between August and September 1566 between the defenders of Szigetvár and the Ottoman army. The siege ended with a decisive victory for the armies of Sultan Suleiman I. Miklós Zrínyi and his soldiers fell almost to the last man during the final charge. Sultan Suleiman himself died in his camp during the siege.

I partially agree. Siege of Szigetvar saved Habsburgs but capturing Vienna ? Thats another deal. I dont think ottomans could be able to invade Austria even thou they by-pass Zrinski and Szigetvar. In fact, plans were made for capturing Vienna. However, everyone marching with the army knew that magnificent suleiman was too old and too sick to survive that kind of campaign. Marching towards Vienna from Istanbul on bare horseback takes at least 2 to 2.5 months as far as we know from Suleiman's previous campaigns. If you add bad weather and poor logistics within this equation, it takes more than that. In the end, ottoman casualities were high for a keep which worths nothing.
