This looks incredible very yummy. Can I ask what kind of dough is it that you're using? I mean besides the name of it what is it made of? At first I thought it was coconut, then I thought it resembled shredded wheat but then it rather looked like a browned shredded potato. I'm just very curious I'm not familiar with that kind of dough obviously lol.

I know you mean well, but it is very misleading to claim it only has five ingredients. The Kanufa has flour, egg, salt, leavening, and a fat. The dough alone is at least five ingredients.
It is important to know that 'ingredient' is one specific single item, or else it is listed as an included item with the ingredients included in parenthesis. To say that it only takes five items to make it is accurate. But it actually takes at least ten individual ingredients to make that dish.

Osmalieh recipe
1 pack of 15 oz ricotta cheese
1 pack Kunafa dough
1 cup ghee [clarify butter] or butter
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon sugar
Mix the ricotta cheese, heavy, whipping cream, and sugar in a bowl. Cut the Kunafa dough into pieces, then drizzle cup of butter ghee over the kunfa and mix with your hands. At the bottom of the tree, put a little bit of ghee and spread it around. Put half of the Kunafa dough at the bottom of the tray, pressing it down firmly and putting them ricotta cheese mixture as the second layer in the rest of the café, right on top.
Placed it in the oven at 325° for about 35-50 minutes or until golden brown take them out pour some simple syrup right on top and a little bit of pistachios and enjoy.
Simple syrup
2 cups white sugar
1 1/4 cup water
Squeeze of fresh lemon juice, about 1 teaspoon
In a medium saucepan, combine together the sugar and water. When it comes to boil lower the heat for five minutes turn it off squeeze a lemon mix it around and wait for it to cool down.
