Yeah, I just saw another short. Like "what would you do, if you had this hand?", Patrik Antonius with A,4s against Tony G (who ended up having K,K). Flop: 4,A,A

And Antonius keeps checking every street, including the river.

And everyone in the comments kept praising his play. Only one successful check-raise on the river, because Tony bet.
But I just wanted to say "terrible play from Antonius". 😅
Idk... seems like I have a different view on Poker hands than most people.... Most of the time..... 😒🤷

I might slow play a big hand in early position, especially if I feel the players at the table tend to raise preflop. This gives me the option of letting them bet up the pot, then reraising hard with money in the pot already. A big EP raise is more likely to mean just winning the blinds.

A lot of player slow play their big hands to be balance because they don’t play aggressive enough their other hands

When you have super aggressive players to your right it’s tempting to slow play and let them try to raise you, but the times you want the squeeze to come it never does, and if it does they will quickly figure out what you’re doing and play perfectly against you

This is why most guys will complain they got cracked by 64 off , when you open limp from middle position with premium hands you’re inviting questionable hands to see a cheap flop

I just limp kings and aces and unless I hit a set it’s an easy fold if someone bets

Uhh no in 1-2NL you raise pre flop. You'll get folds and 3 bucks. I'm not gonna play AA or AK for 3 bucks I want max value.

Okay hear me out though, I was 4-handed at the final table of a $55 bounty hunter and I got dealt AA UTG. I played it aggressively and knocked a guy out.
The next hand I had 26o in the BB and I checked it back to see a flop and flopped trips and rivered quads. Just check calling the whole way till I jammed the river.
The very next hand I got KK in the SB and played it aggressively, losing an all-in to KT.
The very next hand I got dealt AA and I felt I should slow played it by limping it because there was a short stack that I wanted to give a chance to shove. He folded to a bet on the flop
The very next hand, I got dealt AA AGAIN. I couldn't believe it and felt like limp trapping had to be the best play, I ended up knocking both players out when the shoved K9s and ATs for 12BB and 30 BB respectively.

I don't even know if these were good plays but I just felt like being with having so much removal for 4/5 hands in a row, I wanted to give the other players opportunities to make mistakes pre-flop.

I Play My Strong hands slow because if dont Hit the Flop i havent wasted much Money preflop and i can Fold easy to aggressiv opponent. If i Hit the Flop i can use easy the aggression of the opponent against him and Trap him.

Pick your spots. Trust your gut. Be open to changes in momentum. Sometimes it makes all the sense to slow play.

Only slow play if you have the NUTS 🥜. Let them catch up and grow the pot. Otherwise don’t slow play
