The problem i see with the portal is largely that it is only meant for remote play. But our cellphones can already do that with the remote play app. Rather than spending $200 on this device, you could've just spend $100 on a backbone and use your phone or bought a $10 to $15 clip that mounts your phone to your controller. Phones also have the advantage of being able to play games natively through apps and emulation.

- ps5 has limited game selection and wont let you play ps3 or earlier games
Steamdeck however
- entire steam library (only limited by specs and wether the game is able to run on it)
- emulators which can run pretty much all home console systems up to the Xbox 360 /PS3. And pretty much all handheld consoles up to the switch.

The only real effective this thing has is being able to play in bed. I'd call this a massive waste of money, for perspective you can get a previous gen console for how much that costs and if you wanted to spend 150$ more you could get a steam deck that could do 3× more. Sony had good hand helds at one point with the PSP and PSVita but they just hated the the idea of those succeeding ig and smothered them to death
