1st: woo! Ranma fan!
2nd: the looser/open character silhouette definitely makes a more interesting visual and helps to match her cheerful expression and color choices.
3rd: Had she been giving a shy or sad expression with cooler color tones, the boxed composition could emphasize the feeling of loneliness or entrapment. Then a better way to emphasize it would be to close her pose more by crossing her arms and/or bringing her legs in. Maybe zooming out even more to make her feel small in the image.
The subtle background with a cast shadow is an excellent idea either way. The only variance would be the overal color temperature of the light.

I have to watch this a few times. The bit about sleeve not in perspective of her arm. I thought it looked ok then Marc mentioned it and I’m like ok… I need to understand that coz it is still hard to see what he means yet the correction looked much needed. Respect 👍🏽
