- battling auto immune diseases or illness
- struggling with mental health
- they could have mentally and physically draining jobs
- they could work or be worked so hard that they had to skip multiple meals or breaks
- they could have insomnia…and so much more!
Again, we know parenting is tiring, but it’s not the only tiring thing out there and another person simply stating “they’re tired” isn’t an attempt to try and discredit how you are feeling.

My response is usually "1 your are right there are different types of tired. And 2 My type of tired comes from depression and a related sleep disorder, I don't need kids to wake me up 10 times in a night, I can do that all by myself!"

Meanwhile I woke up this morning with a splitting headache and started feeling nauseous. Then my migraine started and everything went downhill from there. Had to call work and say I couldn't make it today to which they understand because I had a migraine at work that was so severe I vomited in the bathroom then passed out and management was freaking out. My husband had to drive me home. So don't tell me I'm not "tired" because I don't have kids.
