To anyone who might want to try this at home, please be careful to keep your derma roller absolutely clean. It might only cause micro injuries on the face but it can still cause infection and breakouts if the derma roller is not properly cleaned. I personally don't think it's the best idea to do it at home but if you think you can do it properly, then it's not a bad option to get good skin.

IMPORTANT - I researched about this because of alopecia treatment and beware - Dont use derma rollers!!! The theory is accurate but the the angle of the roller changes as it gets in and as it gets out, so you get a cone shaped aggression, much bigger than ideal and can cause scars. If you want to get the benefits from this treatment there are other shapes that are better, as they make only one direction agression the size of a needle: theres a derma pen that as much as i know is better for face skin and its what they actually use professionally and there's the derma stamp that is better for the scalp (what i use)
Resuming: dont go for derma rollers. Look into derma pens or stamps

I SIMPLY CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!, DO NOT USE ROLLER to begin with. Please look into Derma stamp. As the roller is being used, you're tearing the skin with that motion but the stamp is in and out only. I cannot explain the way it sounds in my head. Please watch a Derma roller vs derma stamp video here on YouTube!!

For anyone who’s concerned with possibly getting a breakout from the roller not being cleaned properly, there is an alternative. Retinol is an OTC ointment that gives you similar results by producing collagen along with some other things. Retinoid is a stronger version of retinol, but it’s only available by prescription.
