The carp, which is non native and only grows to a large size in places where it is fished for by anglers that throw in loads of bait for them to fatten up on. The pike is native and will grow to about 25lb in a natural enviroment but can double that in well stocked trout fisheries with easy pickings. the chub is also native and is generally only in rivers, although it is occasional stocked in stillwaters or will get there during river flooding.
